What happens if someone cancels
Cancellations happen, but reliability still matters. We track late cancellations and withdrawals so the marketplace stays fair for everyone.
Short answer: open tasks can be cancelled anytime. Cancellations
after a task is assigned affect reliability, especially after 24 hours.

Fair to both sides
If a poster cancels
- Open or assigned tasks can be cancelled from your dashboard.
- If assigned, the helper is removed and offers are rejected.
- Only cancellations after assignment affect reliability.
- Late cancellations (24+ hours after acceptance) count more.
If a helper withdraws
- Pending offers can be withdrawn without penalty.
- After acceptance, withdrawal reopens the task and is tracked.
- Late withdrawals (24+ hours after acceptance) count more.
- No-shows are the most serious reliability issue.
No-shows and reviews
Only completed tasks can be reviewed. If someone does not show up, report it so it can be investigated and recorded.
How to avoid cancellations
- Confirm scope, timing, and price before accepting.
- Use realistic timelines and communicate early if plans change.
- Reschedule when possible instead of cancelling last minute.
