What happens if someone cancels

Cancellations happen, but reliability still matters. We track late cancellations and withdrawals so the marketplace stays fair for everyone.

Short answer: open tasks can be cancelled anytime. Cancellations after a task is assigned affect reliability, especially after 24 hours.
Reliability signals Clear expectations Fair to both sides

If a poster cancels

  • Open or assigned tasks can be cancelled from your dashboard.
  • If assigned, the helper is removed and offers are rejected.
  • Only cancellations after assignment affect reliability.
  • Late cancellations (24+ hours after acceptance) count more.

If a helper withdraws

  • Pending offers can be withdrawn without penalty.
  • After acceptance, withdrawal reopens the task and is tracked.
  • Late withdrawals (24+ hours after acceptance) count more.
  • No-shows are the most serious reliability issue.

No-shows and reviews

Only completed tasks can be reviewed. If someone does not show up, report it so it can be investigated and recorded.
